Shannon Engine Support (SES) is a wholly owned subsidiary of CFM which in turn is a joint venture between General Electric Company and Snecma (SAFRAN Group). Through a portfolio of both owned and managed engines, we have access to over 250 CFM56 engines (CFM56-3, CFM56-5A, CFM56-5B, CFM56-5C and CFM56-7B variants) making us the largest CFM56 lessor worldwide in turn supporting over 140 airlines around the globe. SES Head Office is located in Shannon, Ireland with additional offices in Beijing and Singapore.

SES was originally formed in 1988 to support the fledgling CFM56 fleet just entering service, as well as to provide a cost-effective spare engine solution for small and start-up airlines. Since then, SES has grown from a three-person company with a fleet of 13 CFM56 engines to now employing 36 people managing over 250 CFM56 engines. Europe and China are the company's two largest markets, with the remaining customers in North America, Asia and Africa. As the CFM56 in-service fleet continues to grow, SES continues to adapt the size and mix of its engine pool to ensure the customer has access to the right resources at the right time, guaranteed.
