SES Spare Engine Pools are located at certified MRO facilities around the world, close to international logistics hubs, to support airline operators of CFM56 and LEAP powered aircraft.
All SES’ engines carry CFM’s TRUEngine status. They are overhauled and maintained in accordance with the OEM recommendations on a continuing basis.
SES’ customers can be fully assured of the highest technical standard of its CFM56 and LEAP engines.

LEAP-1A
The LEAP-1A powers the Airbus A320neo family aircraft and features some of the industry’s most cutting-edge technologies.
The LEAP-1A entered into service in September 2016 offering 15% better fuel consumption and up to 50% of NOx emissions in comparison to the current CFM56-5B engine while retaining its legendary reliability and low maintenance costs.

The CFM56-5B is the engine of choice for the A320 family, having been selected to power nearly 60 percent of the aircraft ordered.
Today, it is the only engine that can power every model of the A320 family with one bill of materials.
The engine’s broad-based market acceptance has been because of its simple, rugged architecture, which gives it the highest reliability, durability and reparability in its class.
CFM56-7B
The CFM56 engine family is the world’s best-selling engine, delivering more than 30,000 engines to date.
The CFM56-7B is the exclusive engine for the Boeing Next-Generation single-aisle aircraft.
In total, over 8,000 CFM56-7B engines are in service on 737s, making it the most popular engine-aircraft combination in commercial aviation.
